What is AWS IndexingOCU?
Last updated: April 27, 2025The amount of compute in OpenSearch Compute Units (OCUs) consumed for indexing data in OpenSearch Serverless. One OCU corresponds to 6 GB of RAM and corresponding vCPU, GP3 storage, and I/O resources. Charges apply per hour based on the number of OCUs consumed for indexing data, with a minimum of 2 OCUs for the first collection.
